May's Commons Brexit Defeat

In a vote in the Commons tonight the Prime Minister suffered the biggest defeat in the House of Commons in over 100 years. 432 votes against her deal to 202 in support. Both Brexiteers and Remainers rejected the deal.

Prince William School Visit

Met with students from Prince William Debating Society and sixth form students today. There were lots of interesting questions on Brexit, education and votes at 16. These young people were so engaged and it’s brilliant to see the school offering Politics A Level๐Ÿ‘Œ๐ŸปThanks for having me! ๐Ÿ˜„

Stand up for Northamptonshire

Yesterday we called for our MP, the Secretary of State and this Conservative Government to stand up for Northamptonshire.

The County Council, which has been run by the Conservative’s since 2005, has a £133 million black hole in the budget.

There was such a big crowd today at Corby’s Rememberance service, perhaps the biggest I’ve seen, as we commemorated 100 years since the end of the First World War. It was an honour to lay a wreath on behalf of the local Labour Party.
