Posted on 5th Dec 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning

We've had 6 teams out across Beanfield today. A huge thanks to all the volunteers and all those voters who were open to a chat, especially those who said they've received their postal vote and given me their backing already.🤗👌Thank you!

🚨📯REVIVE OUR HIGH STREETS📯🚨

Posted on 5th Dec 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning, News

I accept the world is changing but people still need physical access to basic services like the Post Office and banks – we need to look at innovate ways to keep them local.

WASPI Campaign Compensation!

Posted on 5th Dec 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning, News

I'm so pleased with the news today that if Labour win the election, women born in the 1950s will be compensated for the hardship they have faced as a result of the increase in the state pension age.

Brooke Weston School Visit

Posted on 5th Dec 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning, News

I had a lovely time at my old school today talking to Sixth Form. It was great to see so many young people interested in politics and energised to vote and have their say on our future. Lots of topical questions on the future of local government, Brexit and how I'd deliver for our community.

Thanks for making me feel so welcome and best of luck for the future!

#GE2019 Campaign Launch

Posted on 10th Nov 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning, News

We had a fantastic campaign launch yesterday, and lots of doorknocking in Priors Hall asking what key issues people want us to focus on and whether they'd consider voting for me on 12th December. Thanks to all those who joined me! We might not have the money of my opponents but we certainly do have people power and community spirit.

New-build nightmare

Posted on 10th Nov 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning

I visited Liam and Natalia a few weeks ago. I was appalled at the way they and their neighbours have been treated. I raised the issue with Labour's Shadow Housing Minister, John Healey to see if there were any ways we could amend existing legislation to give more protection to new build owners.

#GE2019 Introduction Video

Posted on 10th Nov 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning

I'm Beth Miller and I'm standing to be our MP. I'm standing because we deserve better. Better than the 9 years of Conservative austerity that have left schools, hospitals, and the police and other emergency services desperately underfunded.

I'm proud to have grown up in this constituency - its been to good to me - and now I want to do my bit. I want to be given a chance to improve our community, fight for our public services and ensure we can all thrive in the years ahead.

Register to vote - elections are coming!

Posted on 26th Oct 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning

My opponent relies on a low turn out among young people to win here. If an election is called on Monday, make sure you can have a say by registering to vote. It literally takes a couple of minutes. If you aren't sure if you're registered or not, theres no harm in signing up again.

Election Volunteers needed!

Posted on 24th Oct 2019 by Beth Miller in Campaigning

The PM has said he wants an election on 12th December, eh? Can you sign up to help me in the campaign? It's a two horse race in this constituency but I'm definitely the underdog so really value any support. You can do whatever you're comfortable with - every little helps.

Let's support our environment

I don't claim to be an expert on enviromentalism but I do try to do my bit, and if I was our MP, I'd back measures to support our environment.
