School Cuts

Posted on 20th Jul 2018 in Campaigning

Today is the last day of school before the summer break and what brilliant weather to kick off the school holidays?

Sadly, when many go back to school in September, they'll notice a difference, if they haven't already. In the years between 2015 - 2020, schools in this constituency will have lost £5.4 million.

If you think these cuts are wrong, share this post and join my campaign.

Schools are being cut to the bone. My old primary school, Woodnewton, faces cuts of £178 per pupil and my senior school, Brooke Weston, faces cuts of £555 per pupil.

Here's just a sample of how some of the schools here will be cut:

Glapthorn Primary: -£930 per pupil
Windmill Primary: -£288 per pupil
Manor School Sports College: - £399 per pupil
Huxlow Science College: -£388 per pupil
Prince William: -£315 per pupil
Warmington School - £1796 per pupil
Corby Technical School: -£768 per pupil
Lodge Park: - £308 per pupil
Oakley Vale Primary School: -£177 per pupil
Corby Old Village Primary School: - £497 per pupil
Weldon Primary: - £237 per pupil
